About
A.D. Lumière is one person and one printer, in a spare room in Ottawa.
Every piece is three printed parts: a hollow letter shell, the name, and a weighted back cover. The shell takes most of a working day. The name is printed separately and set into a groove on the front by hand, which is the step that decides whether it looks made or manufactured.
I check every spelling against what you typed before anything goes on the printer. It's the one mistake that can't be fixed afterwards, so it gets checked twice.
